well cards like ace 2 aren’t really as good for straights due to the fact that with ace 2 you can only make an Ace 2 3 4 5 straight. With something like 9 8, you can make loads of straights. 5 6 7 8 9…6 7 8 9 10…7 8 9 10 J…and 8 9 10 J Q..possibilities are much bigger. To me Ace 2 is a fairly weak hand unless they’re suited and you wanna take a chance with the flush. But I only know the basic..I’m not really good.

simple, the problem is if you see a rainbow flop and no posibility for you but the A, like hit just a pair. Because ohter player could have better hand than you, and the beginners players usually think an Ace is enough, and loose all their money.

  17. blackwood11186

If everyone or most of the table is in and you have low cards their is a higher chance to hit your low cards but you will probably get dominated by a simple pair or trips.

  18. blackwood11186

Their is more of a chance that the low cards are folded already seeing that most novice or advanced people will throw away low cards, even suited. People who call have a good hand before the flop so… 10,K or maybe even 9,ACE so you have a better knowledge of your chances to hit, if alot of people fold then it will be harder to hit low hands.

  19. tanhuiz

he said that we might want to discard A and a low kicker, but wat bout cards like A and 2? A and 3? i mean they are pretty close to each other..And wat happens if they are suited?

    sorry…but i am a poker novice…

gus and phil are genius man. but matusow…he is incredibly awesomely below average lucky guy. thats what he is. and a cry baby above all. everytinh i would want as a customer at my table

  21. n0fx42o

………..He will assume he has the best hand and try to control the hand (let him) and come over the top, after a sizable pot has formed, for something equal to or less than what he already has in the pot & he will be “trapped”

  22. helpmedie91111

  23. weefeatures

  24. yeweyewe

    ah ok.. thanx

  25. gonira

limping is calling the blind pre-flop, instead of raising or folding.
