@AhYaOk i think he does, in aussie millions i read his book where he descrived every hand he played, i forgot the book name, i would say at least 1/4 ~1/3 of his hand is just picking up the blinds.

@n0fx42o Advanced Strategies sells better than “basic”

  4. jposco

    the rule is not 2 4 .. it’s 4 2

@ojideagu They are 2 different animals

  6. hendrixonwheels

its not a technique i usually use but ill have a go with it in a couple of games.

Tournaments are for lucky donks, Cash poker is proper poker.

  8. weniaxis

    not in tournaments

It’s perfectly fine to Min raise pre flop sometimes, especially early position. You can also use a min raise as a blocking bet or to appear weak. You can use a min raise in certain situations to fool opponents

    @stinky472 tourney 4 sure

Gus is a true ace, the 1st raise the deepest..if played well and carefully this technique helps alot in the bubble and on, wouldn’t play it in early stages :)

what if you’re post oak bluffing?

  13. leos147

hes danish really should be much worse, hes really fluent in english I think

  14. dpinable

a min raise is always, always a bad idea.

  15. fliptthescript

he doesn’t explain very well. Its based on what situation you are in. If your blinde is only 50 to protect its not worth another 100 to call if you odn’t have a good hand its a small amount of your stack. You call and get abad flop yo ucan go broke trying to protect 50 that really doesn’t mean much to you anyway.

Was this a tourney or cash game? In a tourney that could make a lot of sense depending on the blinds.

  17. sidewaysfcs0718

actually he did at poker superstars …he went all in like the first 5 hands then put everyone else all in for another 10 hands lol.

  18. bojangles322

ya om min raise w AA UTG and get 4 callers and have to check fold the flop.. great idea

  19. HELANTANCONTRA

What a about the GOIN CRAZY ALL IN
    STRATEGY Gus? hahaha..

  20. gianga23

why do you say lol? it’s right that he tells this strategy because amateurs can’t play as Gus cause they don’t have the experience or the skills so they (me too :P ) have to play tighter but changing their plays…that’s a good strategy

  21. Lollerotjeh89

    @ Razkull

    that’s called small-ball strategy.

  22. xplictconcept

% of flopping a set is 11%,and min raising with low pockets would not be worth it. it may be worth it to do a higher raise to push people off so you go up against less people.but low pockets is not good for min raise

  23. DJSpray

    I wouldn’t recommend this on 10 man tables…

  24. AhYaOk

he doesnt use this strategy. lol

  25. Jowind

harrington on hold em isn’t advanced either: it’s essential tournament strategy. if you’re playing tournament poker and you haven’t consumed harrington, you’re missing out on a lot of money. sklansky is a difficult read; not my cup of tea.
