Jason DeWitt Finally Obtains a WSOP Bracelet
Last year at the WSOP Jason DeWitt was very close to capture a bracelet. He finished in second place in one event and third in another. But fortunately for him he only had to wait until the next summer arrived.
At the 2010 World Series of Poker he has done it. DeWitt earned the bracelet after he took down the $5,000 no-limit hold’em tournament, Event 17. Beside the WSOP bracelet he also received a huge prize of $818,959.
DeWitt entered the final table with the fourth largest chip stack. The road to the victory for him was not an easy one. He faced top notch opponents like David Benefield, Jeff Williams, and Amit Makhija. But after a great play he defeated his adversaries and eventually DeWitt reached the last battle. The other player that entered the heads-up match was the UK-native Sam Trickett. The action spread into the early hours of Friday before DeWitt took down the final pot, and with it his first WSOP title and the top prize. Trickett for his excellent run in the tournament received $505,725. At the WSOP Trickett is no stranger to success. In 2008 he reached a final table.
With the fantastic win that DeWitt obtained he brought his career tournament winnings to over $2 million.
