Day 1B of the Event 3 at the WSOP Sees 1,744 Entrants
The third day of action at the $50K Players Championship, Event 2, started with 54 players and lost 33 over the next twelve hours. Day 4 of the tournament will see a number of 21 competitors. From the competition top poker players like Jeff Lisandro, Barry Greenstein, and Phil Ivey were eliminated.
Michael Mizrachi is the chip leader heading into the fourth day with 1,483,000. He is followed closely by David Oppenheim and Vladimir Shchemelev.
Day 1B of the $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em tournament, Event 3, at the WSOP saw 1,744 entrants. With the field of 2,601 players on Day 1A, the total number of competitors for the first two days reached 4,345. The Rio Casino estimated a much higher turnout for the event, projecting numbers in the 5,000-6,000 range.
By the end of Day 1B the field was reduced to 207 players. A total of 481 will begin play when the cards drop on Day 2.
Top professionals like Tom “durrr” Dwan, Phil Hellmuth, Jason Mercier, Gavin Griffin, and Greg Raymer were eliminated from the great tournament.
Braxton Dunaway finished the day at the top of the leader board. He holds a six figure stack. Another player that managed to accumulate a massive amount of chips is Thomas Jonides.

Event 4 ($1,500 Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better) – The Omaha Hi-Low tournament drew a field of 818 players. They generated a prize pool of $1,104,300. The top 81 players will be paid, with 81st place winning $2,749. The winner of the event will take home the top prize worth $237,643.
The chip leader’s full name at this moment it is not known. “Oleg” ended the day with 70,000 chips. The second place was captured by David Bach – 39,000 and the third by Amnon Filippi -30,000.
