The Professional Poker Player Cole South Says Goodbye to Cardrunners

He wrote: “This decision has more to do with myself than . In the past year I have at the same time been a full time student, a professional poker player, and an owner/instructor of a poker training site, and I’ve found myself spread too thin. Leaving has been an incredibly tough decision for me, but it will allow me to focus on playing poker and completing my degree.”
South began playing poker in 2005. In his online poker career he registered some fantastic performances. Playing mostly at the mid-to-high-stakes No Limit Holdem levels he built up a bankroll of $5 million.
This year in February South was one of the most successful players at online poker. He won approximately $3 million.But in March the situation changed completely. In a single day he lost in favor of Tom “durrrr” Dwan and Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies $1.1 million. After a battle with the mystery Swede, Isildur1, South lost $785,000. At the end of March he lost another $660,000 after he played against Sahamies.
Although South lost huge amounts of money, he is still up more than $633,000 on the year.
The 22-year-old South is currently a student at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., where he is pursuing a degree in economics.
