Andrew Lichtenberger Wins WSOP Circuit Las Vegas
Andrew Lichtenberger won on Thursday the World Series of Poker Circuit Las Vegas main event, which took place at Caesars Palace. For the massive performance he received the top prize worth $190,137.
In the $5,150 event participated a number of 150 players. The total prize pool reached $717,500. Lichtenberger took down the main event after he defeated Dan Casetta heads-up. The match between them lasted five hours. Casetta for his runner-up finish got a substantial prize of $114,800. The third place was captured by the two-time WSOP bracelet winner Brock Parker.
Lichtenberger’s poker career can be described as successful. The most notable results were obtained in 2009. In the WPT Championship he ended in 13th place. The tournament saw a number of 338 competitors. Lichtenberger finished as the runner-up in the WSOP $5,000 No Limit Hold’em Shootout. In the WSOP Main Event he captured the 18th place. The tournament saw a massive field of 6,494 players.
This year at the North American Poker Tour Venetian main event he finished in 10th position. In his career Lichtenberger won more than $1 million.
The WSOP Circuit now moves on from Caesars Palace to New Orleans for the Bayou Poker Classic. The preliminary events will begin on May 7. The $5,150 main event starts May 17.
