Five-Star World Poker Classic Began Yesterday
Yesterday at the Bellagio in Las Vegas started the Five-Star World Poker Classic tournament series. The highlight of the great series is the World Poker Tour Championship event. It will take place from April 18 to 24. The tournament is one of the most prestigious of the year and has a buy-in of $25,000. Last year’s WPT Championship was won by Yevgeniy Timoshenko. The Russian player received an enormous prize of $2,149,960. He outlasted a field of 338 players.
For the 2010 WPT Championship the satellites events will run from April 15 to 17. The buy-in for this events is $1,080.
The Five-Star World Poker Classic schedule includes 18 preliminary events and each one has a $1,000 buy-in with rebuys. Only two events will be pot-limit Omaha. The rest will spread no-limit hold’em.
