Poker for the Homeless March Madness II Starts in 2 Weeks
The second edition of the Charity Poker Festival Poker for the Homeless March Madness will take place at the Jackpot Club in Dublin, Ireland from March 12 to 14, 2010.
At the festival will participate top poker players including Padraig Parkinson, Noel Furlong, Fintan Gavin, Scott Gray, Paul Marrow, Liam Flood, and Marty Smyth.
All begins on Friday March 12 at 9 p.m. with a no-limit hold’em freezeout which has a 100Euro buy-in. From the prize pool 20 percent will go to the Capuchin Day Centre in Dublin.
The first prize will be a 3500Euro ticket to the Irish Open which will take place in the Burlington Hotel from April 2 to 5.
The Jackpot Club’s cash league final is held on Saturday March 13. It has an estimated 25,000Euro in prize money.
On Sunday March 14 there will be a no-limit hold’em team event with teams of four that will compete in the 400Euro + 40Euro tournament. The 40Euro registration fee will be donated to charity. Sixty percent of the prize pool will be paid out to the first three teams and the rest of 40 percent will be paid out to individuals at the final table.
